Faith Martin, MS, LPC
Clinical Director
Faith has been involved in the mental health field for over ten years. She spent nine years living in Japan and worked for the US Military, creating mindfulness-based programs for the Naval Hospital and Marine Corps Community Services. Faith directed and organized wellness events, educational seminars for PTSD inpatient programs, behavioral health outpatient programs, pain clinics, and caregivers.
As a strength and conditioning specialist and High Intensity Tactical Training Coordinator for the Marine Corps, Faith learned the value of working with individuals, increasing their body awareness, desensitizing movements, and working on building new neural pathways toward self-efficacy. She uses histology, tissue behavior, bio-plasticity, and kinesiology to inform her work with clients in therapy. A licensed professional counselor, Faith delivers a strength-based, person-centered, somatic approach in her work with clients and is trained in EMDR and ACT.
Faith completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland in Asian Philosophy, moved to Arizona to attend Prescott College, where she attained a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a postgraduate degree in Experiential Counseling with an emphasis in Adventure Based Counseling. Faith holds over 40 movement certifications and has a yoga teacher training school. Faith enjoys time with her husband, adult children, and two dogs in her time away from work. Faith enjoys lifting weights, reading the newest research on the body, learning about different cultures, and spending time outdoors.
Faith has widespread experience in leadership roles and education. While working for Pure Life Adventure in Costa Rica, she developed curriculum for adventure and nature-based therapy interventions, designed and implemented programming for parent support and alum, and created accessible content to support clients and their families. As a primary therapist, she dedicated her time to serving her clients, their families, and support teams. Costa Rica provided a rich landscape for Faith to rekindle her relationship with nature and her love for educating. This rewilding led Faith to seek a position as an adjunct professor at her alma mater. As an adjunct professor, Faith facilitates nature-based intensives with Prescott College for budding therapists.
