Eric Nestingen
Case Manager
Eric has spent over a decade studying psychology, beginning with a focus on positive psychology during his undergraduate work, followed by a master’s degree in organizational psychology. He is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling.
Eric came to Red Mountain after spending two and a half years working as a wilderness therapy guide in Costa Rica. As a case manager, Eric strives to create an environment of both high accountability and high support. Eric brings enthusiasm, curiosity, and dedication to his work, and views well-being as one of the most meaningful pursuits in life.
Outside of work, Eric is an avid outdoor enthusiast and values movement as a pathway to well-being. He enjoys backpacking, trail running, snowboarding, surfing, mountain biking, and yoga, and is continually drawn to travel and exploration. He has lived in Ojai, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, Boston, Costa Rica, and Boulder, and currently resides in Sedona, Arizona.
While kayaking on Lake Tahoe, Eric and a friend once distilled their understanding of the meaning of life into three words: Relationships, Experiences, and Impact - a framework that continues to guide both his personal life and professional work.
