Life Skills Training for Young Adults
Red Mountain Sedona is a program for young adults offering Life Skills Training as a component of our Aftercare Program. Our professional and specialized program include sophisticated clinical and recovery support, meditation, yoga, martial arts, academic and employment support and social and recreational support. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that a “mindful”, healthy life is more enjoyable and peaceful than a life of compulsive behavior and internal strife.
Life skills are crucial to successful living. We prepare our students to live independently, and instruct them in many skill areas, such as:
- Physical health through nutrition and exercise
- Applying and interviewing for jobs
- Accessing academic opportunities
- Healthy recreation
Aftercare Program for Young Adults
At Red Mountain Sedona guide each student through their own healing from past trauma, depression, loss, or chaos caused by poor decision-making. Our Clinical team includes a Psychologist; Master’s-Level, Licensed Therapists; and a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
We also have collaborative support staff including seasoned cased managers, compassionate mentors, a recovery coach, a nutrition coach, a martial arts Sensei, meditation instructors and a yoga teacher. All of them inspire our students to live better, rebuild damaged relationships with family and friends, and learn how to respect and love themselves. We find that it is imperative to eliminate the beliefs of “I can’t do it”, empowering our students to see how truly capable they are. We show them the path to a brighter future.
