Individual Therapy
Our highly-skilled therapists have extensive experience working with a variety of complex clinical issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, process addictions (such as gambling, pornography, and technology), and young adult developmental concerns. Individual therapy plays an important role in our students’ treatment plans; having someone with whom they can discuss, in confidence, concerns they might not ordinarily divulge to another person is a powerful tool.

Red Mountain’s owners/operators are also seasoned clinicians with decades of experience in the field, and are on-site daily, connecting with students and supporting staff.
Group Therapy
As a supplement to individual counseling, we also hold daily group therapy sessions at Red Mountain Sedona (RMS). Group therapy is essential for helping students to strengthen social skills, gain self-awareness, and build trusting, authentic relationships. Students learn to see outside perspectives and gain an understanding about how their actions impact others. Our group offerings include:
- Beginning mindfulness
- Advanced mindfulness
- Body image
- Healthy Relationships
- Trauma recovery
- Relapse prevention
- Process groups

Family Therapy
Families of young adults face a very difficult task: how do you effectively “let go” of your child, helping them launch into a life of independence, while simultaneously building and healing family relationships? This is a dilemma that Red Mountain is uniquely positioned to assist with.
Even though our students are our primary focus, we recognize that the entire family may need healing. Whether the communication between student and family needs work, past events need to be processed, or unhealthy relationships have to be addressed, our staff of trained therapists will work with the family system to ensure that healing takes place where it is needed.
We will work with you to understand family dynamics, identify roles, and define relationships to help the family connect synergistically in a healthy and effective manner.
