Sophia Burke

Sophia, also known as “Burke,” is a graduate of Red Mountain Sedona. Drawing from her own experience in recovery, Burke leads by example, guiding students through the nuances of their recovery processes. With her experience as a life skills mentor, she possesses a deep understanding of the inner workings of students’ daily lives and their journeys toward independence.
Originally from upstate New York, Burke earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a minor in Psychology from the University of Vermont, where she also played Division 1 Lacrosse. With a passion for serving others, she hopes to eventually earn a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, specializing in Somatic Therapy.
In addition to being a student in the Zen meditation tradition, Burke is an avid skier and outdoor enthusiast. She loves hiking and camping with her sweet puppy, Paulie.
