Maggie is a proud alumnus of Red Mountain Sedona. After successfully completing the program she discovered a passion for helping others who are struggling with substance use and other mental health challenges. Because of her desire to give back to Red Mountain, she returned in September 2018 as a mentor, and began supporting students on campus and in the community. Maggie soon moved into the case manager role because of her ability to engage with our students from a shared perspective, while also helping them to stay on track with their goals and responsibilities.
In addition to helping Red Mountain students with life skills, academic engagement and employment support, she is also pursuing a degree in Marketing and Psychology at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Her educational experiences and her own personal journey give Maggie a unique understanding of our students’ internal clinical processes as well as their outward behaviors.
Maggie is actively involved in her own recovery work and is dedicated to her path of sobriety. She truly believes in Red Mountain and is involved in many aspects of the program.
In her spare time, when she isn’t doing her own school work, she enjoys taking yoga classes and going on hikes in Sedona and Flagstaff.
