Bethanie holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. While pursuing her degree, Bethanie took special interest in holistic psychology which includes the health of the entire individual as well as the family and systems from which the person is currently involved in and derives from.

Having a passion for healthy relationships and families, Bethanie has engaged in specialized trainings in attachment-oriented Emotionally Focused Therapy, Core Communications, as well as the Gottman Method for couples therapy. Utilizing her training on attachment, Bethanie has worked extensively with families of foster care and adoption.

Bethanie is also certified through the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association (EMDRIA) as an EMDR trained therapist. EMDR has proven to be an effective psychotherapy method which helps individuals recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms.

As a classically trained vocalist with a personal ethos of, “Art as emotion,” Bethanie enjoys employing experiential modalities, which include art and music, with each student with whom she serves.

When not using her skills at Red Mountain, Bethanie likes to take nature and portraiture photography, sing and provide vocal coaching, hike, practice yoga, and spend time with her close friends and family.
